The 10 best places to get my content marketing info in 2024

Whether you are an industry veteran or a newbie, you want to make sure that you are learning new things that are happening in the content marketing industry. This is more than just having discussion points you can pull out at the next networking event. Rather, this is about improving your own skills as a content marketer and leveling-up the projects that you handle.

By checking the best places to get your content marketing information, you discover:

  • What other people are trying out and learning
  • Understand new features that can be used by digital platforms
  • Deliver results on your own projects

So, what are the 10 best places to get your content marketing info?

It’s not to say that we are going to look at the only platforms that talk specifically about content marketing. For this article, we are going to look at platforms from a holistic point of view.

Well, that’s enough gyan for now.

Here are the 10 best places to get your content marketing info.

  1. Moz

Moz has become my go-to place. Probably the biggest reason for this is the sheer number of people that share information on Moz. You have a huge range of writers from agencies and company marketing teams sharing in-depth information on their own strategies and successes.

Moz is especially focused on creating SEO-friendly content and how to get it listed on Google.

  1. Neil Patel

The interesting thing that keeps bringing me back to Neil Patel is the vast number of experiments tried by him and his team. Each experiment gets a breakdown analysis and learnings post. This is a great place to learn various techniques on leveling up your content writing and strategy.

Going through his blogs is very easy, too. He often gives them very direct titles like: The Secret Behind My 1,866,913 Monthly Search Visitors or 7 Proven Strategies to Increase Your Blog’s Traffic by 206%.

  1. Spacebar Blog

Then, we have our very own Spacebar blog. I, myself, have written so many insightful blogs around content marketing. Spacebar blog is a mix of beginner-level to expert-level information on content writing and content marketing. It also has a lot of how-tos for beginners in content writing. There are quite a few guides to check out, like Ultimate guide to B2B content marketing and A Roadmap To Becoming A Successful Content Writer

Bonus point: There are a lot of fun, random and fictional blogs published back when Spacebar was growing up.

  1. BuzzSumo

This list won’t be complete without mentioning BuzzSumo. This blog has been a staple around in the industry where BuzzSumo tries to cover every topic around the sun when it comes to content marketing. It covers content topics around PR, SEO, social media and more.

  1. Hubspot

Hubspot has been my go-to platform for many years. It has a vast repository for everything related to not just content marketing but also digital marketing, sales and more. They have a wide range of posts like how-tos, guides, case studies, expert opinions and data-driven blogs. Hubspot is specifically known for their inbound marketing information, and this includes content marketing too.

  1. Think with Google

This one doesn’t turn up on most content marketing blog lists. I find it quite underrated. Think with Google shares content marketing information that comes from the Google Team – this makes it worth a read. In addition to that, this platform also features data-driven posts on how brands executed campaigns using Google tools and learnings that content marketers can take away.  Think with Google also dedicates a specific section to AI Marketing; this is something I haven’t seen other platforms have.

  1. Ahrefs

Similar to Moz, Ahrefs is my go-to place for SEO content marketing. Get ready to learn about keyword usage, content audits, conduct data analysis and more. While Ahrefs posts are largely put up by the internal team, a lot of their posts showcase their proprietary data, their successes and learnings. Furthermore, Ahrefs’ team tries a boatload of experiments so there is always something unique to learn.

  1. Contently – The Content Strategist

Looking for a place that specifically focuses on content marketing and strategy? You can’t go wrong with Contently. For content writers and marketing strategists, Contently has something for every body. There is a huge focus on how to build content that tells stories without losing focus on the ROI aspect. A personal favourite is this post: How to Evolve Your Storytelling for Better Engagement and Conversion.

  1. Copyblogger

Copyblogger is a place focused specifically for writers. The platform has a massive number of writers, each one talking about their content and copywriting journeys and sharing helpful information. This covers all kinds of writing from emailers, landing pages, podcasting, SEO writing, social media writing and more.

  1. Animalz

Animalz is the right place for senior writers and content strategists. You won’t find the usual how-tos, guides and content writing 101 information. Rather, you will find content thought-leadership articles. This is highly specific information for those who have already gotten their hands dirty and are experienced.

Most of these websites also have a subscription, so you can get their latest content on your email. When it comes to 10 best places to get my content marketing info in 2024, these are the essentials.

One of the best ways to learn is to learn from others.
